Are you a fan of our parks and trails? These facilities are very important to our municipality, as they enhance well-being and quality of life. However, the more people are attracted to parks and trails, the more time they spend there and the more likely they are to need to use a toilet or access drinking water.
The municipality’s new recreation master plan therefore suggests the possibility of adding washrooms and drinking fountains to more outdoor facilities. This is also part of a focus on senior-friendly planning.
Unfortunately, vandalism is on the rise in the municipality, which makes it more difficult to maintain these facilities and provide clean and safe washroom service. Public toilets are also expensive to build. Hence, the importance of being strategic and prioritizing the location of toilets and drinking fountains.
That is why, with the help of a consultant, we are asking you for help in developing a strategy for washrooms and drinking fountains for our parks and trails. We would be very grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete the short survey below.
